Leaving Certificate Applied (LCA)

Leaving Certificate Applied is a practical and hands-on programme designed for students who learn best through active participation and continuous assessment. LCA focuses on preparing students for adult and working life by developing communication, teamwork, enterprise, and practical skills.

 

Work experience, real-world learning, and personal development are central to the programme, helping students build confidence and independence for the future.

At The Mercy, students also have the opportunity to participate in modules such as Hair & Beauty, Childcare, and Horticulture. Our state-of-the-art greenhouse provides valuable hands-on learning experiences, while strong links with the local community support practical learning opportunities and work-based experiences for students.
