As a dynamic and progressive school, we take pride in offering a wide range of educational pathways, including Junior Cycle, Leaving Certificate, Leaving Certificate Applied (LCA), and Level 2 Learning Programmes (L2LP), alongside our dedicated Special Class provision.

Our committed staff work collaboratively to support each student academically, socially, and personally, ensuring every young person is encouraged to achieve their full potential in a supportive and welcoming environment. We value inclusion, wellbeing, and student voice, recognising the unique strengths and talents of every learner.

Strongly connected to the local community, The Mercy aims to educate and empower students to become confident, compassionate, and valued members of society. Through meaningful community links, innovative programmes, and a strong school ethos, we encourage our students to grow not only as learners, but also as responsible and active citizens.

School Book Scheme

At Our Lady of Mercy Secondary School, we are delighted to participate in the Government’s Free Schoolbooks Scheme for post-primary schools. Under the scheme, students receive the necessary textbooks and learning materials for the academic year, ensuring that every student has equal access to the resources needed to support their learning and success in school. Further information regarding the scheme, book lists, and any additional materials required will be communicated to parents and guardians in advance of the new school year.
